I have chosen to use four steps in scriptural journaling. These steps include: Passage, Points, Personalize, & Prayer.
Place: Find a quiet place with no distractions.
Prepare: Items you will need: a Bible, notebook, and pencil.
Passage – Read the scripture passage for the day.
Point – What are journey points this passage reveals?
Personalize – How will the scripture lessons impact your life?
Prayer – Write out your prayer of commitment to apply the lessons learned.

Another acrostic to use for LifeJournaling is S.O.A.P.
This comes from Wayne Cordeiro, the author of The Divine Mentor where he describes the purpose of daily Bible study and how to do it. For more information on the Life Journal approach go to: http://www.lifejournal.cc. There you will see a link to journaling resources and the daily reading plan information. I would also encourage you to view his video below describing his journaling method.
