First Baptist Silverhill is affiliated with the Alabama Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. We profess a living faith rooted in Jesus Christ who is "The same yesterday, and today, and forever." The sole authority for faith and practice among Baptists is Jesus Christ whose Will is revealed in the Bible.

We Believe………….

• The Bible is our guide for living and the inspired Word of God.
• God is faithful, merciful, loving, powerful, and holy. He is worthy of our worship.
• God created the universe and everything in it.
• Jesus is God showing Himself to us.
• We gain forgiveness of sin through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ
• Grace through faith is the only way to have a relationship with God.
• The Christian life is about us growing spiritually to become like Jesus Christ.
• Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now.
• Jesus is coming again
